Inauguration of Mathematics Club and Release of Digital magazine

 Mathematics Club for the academic year 2020-2021 of NSS Training College, Ottapalam  is inaugurated virtually on 29.09.2020,2pm by  the Chief guest R.Ramanujam sir,  SRG, Kerala.  The name of the club inspire is also announced today. The release of digital magazine is done by our college principal Prof(Dr) Ampili Aravind Mam. The chief guest delivered an informative talk on "Math IT Lab".  Falicitation wasDwas made by Dr.  K.S Sajan , IQAC coordinator,; Dr.Sureshkumar K., Associate Professor,; Dr.Sethu S.Nath, Staff Advisor,:  Navaneeth Krishnan and Union Chairman.

WORKSHOP ON TEACHING AIDS - MATHEMATICS

 

Various teaching learning aids were prepared to facilitate mathematics learning. An orientation class was given by Dr. Minikumari on July 11, 2020. 5 charts, a still model and a working model were prepared. Charts included definition chart, flow chart, table chart, tree chart and flip chart.

Department of Mathematics Education and IQAC of NSS Training College, Ottapalam is organizing a *National Level Online Quiz on Mathematics Education for a period from 1st June to 10 th June 2020*. Participation of all student teachers and teacher educators with Mathematics background is mostly appreciated during the commencement of new academic year.

*Anyone scoring 80 % and above will be awarded e -certificate via e-mail soon after the submission*

INSPIRE -Pi Day Celebration

 Pi Day celebration of Mathematics Association was a great event for revisiting the emergence of Pi. The Mathematics Education department organises activities related to the constant pi and conducted a competition on "counting decimal points of Pi". Megha of mathematics department recalled 116 decimal points and won the prize 

19-21 Initiatory Teaching Experience

 

INITIATORY SCHOOL EXPERIENCE

Teaching trainees were given orientation on Initiatory School Experience by Dr. Minikumari. The program started on 24/2/2020 and was concluded on 28/2/2020. Three shared lesson plans were developed. Accordingly, the students took classes and reflected on their experiences in the diary.

CRITICISM LESSON PLANS

An orientation class was given by Dr. Minikumari on need and significance of criticism classes. Students were grouped into teams of nine each. All students prepared lesson plans after choosing the appropriate topic after discussion. Classes were conducted and observed from 4/2/2020 to 6/2/2020
